SOURCE: "No Memory Stick" errors

Due to the length of the memory stick it rarely causes bent pins sideways but they can over a long period lose their tension and fail to make contact with the memory. Also, more commonly they can tend to get a build up of dirt on them. Try using an old memory stick and quickly push the stick in and out of the camera as fast as you can and do this for about 15 to 20 times (with the camera off of course) this should clean any gunk built up on the contacts. Now switch on and use the new stick to see if it's working. If not try the exercise again. If it still doesn't work try sticking 2 layers of sticky tape to the front (the side opposite the gold contacts)Run the tape from the bottom (the contact end) to the top. Running it to the top will ensure it comes out with the stick when you eject it and it doesn't stay inside causing problems. Doing this will marginally increase the size of the stick and put a little more pressure on the contacts. Just nake sure the sticky tape comes nowhere near touching the stick's contacts as this will tend to make them pick up dirt. Also this trick is only to see if it's you camera's contacts have lost tension, its not meant as a permanent fix. If neither of these tricks work I'm afraid it's a trip to the camera hospital.

SOURCE: Fuji FinePix S7000

You should be able to. Most fuji drivers are built into windows (or windows update anyway). If you want the fuji software - go here http://www.fujifilmusa.com/JSP/fuji/epartners/ServiceSupportBrowse.jsp?prodcat=863590&sscucatid=664260

SOURCE: Need FinePix S7000 Tripod

They [ cameras and tripods]all have a standard screw fitting.
So all cameras will fit all tripods.
The only factors therefore to consider is- weight[As it is a small digicam] you will not need a heavy weight one and the depth of your purse.

Best bet take the camera along to a store and try a few.
If it is not to be a surprise take Hubby too to try them out for himself. ;-}

I have a fuji s7000 i put it away for for a year and now it wont turn on tried new batteries and even the power cord ,does it have a seperate internal battery

Not likely it has a an extra battery, keeping you from starting up.
Just get out the batteries, charge them again (Yes again) and in the mean time, use some cotton swabs, to clean the contacts in the camera. Before you reinsert the batteries also clean the contacts on the batteries. Make sure you only use NiMH rechargeable and don't use NiCD batteries.
To test the camera, you could insert a set of new Alkaline batteries, but you will see they don't lats as long as the NiMH batteries.
Never use zinc carbon batteries in a camera.
Let me know how you go.

I have a Fuji Finepix S7000 digital camera. I works fine, but, when the batteries get discharged, the camera looses all the "setup" info (date, time, etc...)... Is there an internal battery or something...

There is no internal battery. When the batteries become discharged or removed, the camera retains the date/time settings for about 24 hours. Most people have backup batteries fully charged so when one set is low in the camera, they can make the change quickly.

Lense stuck in out position

Hi. If your camera is turning on with the lens stuck out. Turn the camera on, and without turning it off, open the battery door, and take the batteries out. Leave it for about 1-2 minutes and try again. This process is call power reset. Usually works. Good Luck.

FUJI FINEPIX S7000

Try it with a different set of battery. It is possible that one of your battery is "dead" or close to it, and the camera shuts down.

You have to find the bad battery.

It worked for me.

Kills Batteries

What kind of batteries are you using? It's a well-known fact that for instance normal alkaline batteries run flat in no time in these kinds of cameras. You'd better use powerful NiMH batteries, 2,000 mAh or above and a charger which does the job in let's say 1 hour or so. Also get an extra set of batteries. You'll never regret you bought it!

The batteries were drained in my FinePix S7000 camera whthe camera was not in use.

The CompactFlash card may have caused the batteries to drain. Some solid state CompactFlash cards consume power while inserted in the FinePix S7000 even if the camera is turned OFF. Fujifilm recommends removing the CompactFlash card when the camera is not in use. Microdrives and xD-Picture Cards do not exhibit this problem.
