Question about Plumbing

Please Help me

Hi,

I took the cover off my intertherm thermostat because I was painting that wall and I did not want to get paint on it. I also removed the dial, which you use to adjust the temperature. I tried to put the dial back in but it does not seem to be in their very tight. My heater is not stuck in the on position at 90degrees! Please help me. How do I get the dial to go back in and click into the off position?

Thanks soooo much!

Emily

You can try this.... Turn off the power to your furnace. Carefully remove the cover and the dial. Put the dail back on making sure it is level. Make sure the switch is in the off position. Replace the cover and turn the power back on.....Let's start from there.....Joe

Can you use ultra white paint as a primer on a wall before painting it?

Not recommended, especially if the ultra white paint is anything but "flat." Primer is designed specifically to adhere to other paints. Look into KILZ primer (if it is available where you are), as I have found it to provide excellent coverage for color changes.

How do I calculate the amount of paint needed for walls in a 12 foot by 16 foot room with 8 foot ceilings?

Ceiling paint estimator

Use the following formula to estimate the amount of ceiling paint you need. Double the result if the ceiling requires two coats.
1. Multiply the length of the ceiling times its width to find its area.
14 × 20 = 280 square feet
2. Divide that number by 350 (the estimated square feet covered per gallon) to figure out how many gallons of paint you need.
280 ÷ 350 = .8
For this example, you want to buy 1 gallon of ceiling paint for a single coat.

Wall paint estimator

Use the following formula to estimate the amount of wall paint you need. Double the result if the walls require two coats.

Is recycled paint good for walls

generally speaking if the lids have been left on tight and you strain the paint with a stocking it will be ok but it might not smell to pleasant for a few days.try dropping in some perfume to kill the smell or a tea spoon of bleach will do suffice.

Paint scratches off easily on drywall

You can find good colours for painting your wall and good durable paints and follow it with the help of interior designers. They provide plenty of samples and designs for your requirement and guide you. They use many fabric paintings, hand painted wall papers, laminated multi coloured wall papers with different textures. I have the hds780rs0605 I need to know if I can use latex paint for my walls and how to with out it clogging up

Let me start by saying these types of paint sprayers are not usually recommended for painting large things like room walls because you're going to spend a lot of time refilling the paint cup. The cup only holds 20 ounces of paint and that won't go very far on your walls. If all your paint isn't mixed and properly thinned at the same time your walls could end up with a checker board look. You would usually be way further ahead to rent an airless paint sprayer.
If you have to use it; first run your paint through a paint strainer, avaliable at any paint or box store (The Home Deopt, Lowes, etc). Even new paint has impurities that will clog paint guns. It's highly recommended you mix in a paint conditioner like Flotrol but not absolutely necessary. Next, you're going to have to experiment with the consistency of the paint to get a good even flow out of the gun. The thinner you have to make the paint to get a good flow, the lighter and more coats you're going to have to apply. It's also recommended to run a paint soaked roller over the wall right after you spray it to even out the paint and remove any overlap marks.
