GE Range Model GRCR3825ZWW-1 DOOR error code on range display
Can't find a manual for this GE range. And sites don't except the above model number. DOOR error displays when oven temp is selected and oven will not turn on. If oven does turn on, will turn off when DOOR error appears. Not sure what is causing as intermittent. If I turn the temp control off and close the oven door very hard, the oven will turn on...but would prefer to find out what to fix or replace.
Re: GE Range Model GRCR3825ZWW-1 DOOR error code on range...
The door latched Micro-switch is not working or is dirty.
Remove the back panel, in the middle of the back there will be a metal arm that moves in and out when self cleaning latch is closed and opened. This arm pushes two or more Micro-Switches in the back, they are dirty or not working and need replacing.
Re: GE Range Model GRCR3825ZWW-1 DOOR error code on range...
Our GE JSP69WT1WW will not work after a self cleaning cycle. On turning on he oven, in a few seconds a door signal appears on the control panel. Same with the broil operation. I am able to start self cleaning again. I am wondering if there is a sensor for the door ot if the door gasket may be damaged?

“F—and a number or On models with a door latch, • The latch may have been moved, even if only slightly, letter” flash in the display if a function error code appears from the locked position. 1. Verify error code by pressing and holding CANCEL/OFF key for 5 seconds.
Momentarily (less than 5 sec.) press CANCEL key again to remove error code
2. Press and hold any key for 1 minute until F2 E0 code is displayed.
3. Cancel F2 E0 error code.
4. Program and start the clean mode. Observe to see if door locks. If it does not,
inspect the locking mechanism from the solenoid to the latch pawl and door to
find the cause of the problem. If the door is not locking, then 1 minute from the
start of clean, the F5 E1 code will again be displayed. Steps 1 through 3 will
have to be repeated before another clean can be started.
5. Once any mechanical problems with the latch mechanism have been corrected,
program and start a clean cycle (after, if necessary, clearing F5 E1 error code)
to ensure proper operation of the door lock. Immediately cancel the clean mode to observe proper operation of door unlock
Circuit board defective
Replace control board
1. The oven temp has risen above 665F and the door is not locked or 2. The temp has risen above 965F with the door locked
1. Check oven temp in mode that failure occurred. Replace EOC (Electronic Oven Control) if above limits 2. Check 8-pin connector. Check and replace oven temperature sensor if necessary
Oven temperature sensor is open (above 3000 ohms)
Check resistance of oven temperature sensor, check for open wiring between oven temperature sensor and control
Oven temperature sensor is shorted (below 500 ohms)
Check resistance of oven temperature sensor, check for shorted wiring between oven temperature sensor and control
Internal watchdog circuit has detected a failure
Defective EOC (Electronic Oven Control)
Check push buttons and dome switches on control
Logic interrupted (lock motor switch sequence)
Check door lock switches and wiring
Most likely problem is the oven temp. sensor. Should check around 1100 ohms at room temp. I would replace that first because it is the easiest and cheaper than an oven control.
All the information I could find on GE ranges indicate that an F-7 error indicates a problem with either the Electronic Range Control (ERC) keypad having a stuck key, or the ERC itself being defective. You can unplug the ribbon cable on the ERC and wait at least 32 seconds before plugging it back in to see if the problem clears. If the problem persists you will have to replace the ERC. Make sure you UNPLUG the range and/or turn off the main breaker to it BEFORE servicing. Remove the back panel of the range to access the ERC. If you cannot get the fault to clear and wish to replace the ERC, post back with comments as to your model number (usually located on the frame of oven door opening or lower drawer opening) and I will research to find a part number for you. Keep in mind, most ERCs do not come with the overlay (plastic piece with the number and keypad displays). I would advise you to replace both if you decide to repair the range. i hope this info helps you.
