Question about Technics SL-MC6 CD Player
Technics Compact 110 Disc Changer, Model #SL-MC6: Disc gets jammed mid-way between CD magazine slot and inside player. Jammed Disc does not play. User needs to manually pull disc out, slightly forcefully. Something seems to be blocking the Disc from reaching the actual playing area. System does not recognize that a disc exists. Screen continuously displays 'Checking Discs."
Thats alot of disc this ubit holds. 110+1!! The CD changer arm mechanism sounds like is out of timming or the gears have slipped there teeth, and or the cam is broken, or theres a couple of small microswitches that can get broken as well.. The only way to work on this unit and see what the problem is, is to get a service manual and go through the mechanical alighnment and see where the problem is. Unless you can do a physical examination and know where every lob and gear is suppose to be, I do not see any other ways.
