Make sure that your Micro SD card is mounted in the settings section of the phone. The card is located on the left side of the phone underneath the green key.

It should be 1 Gig installed.

I have a alcatel one touch pixi 3 10 i have inserted a micro card but have no instructions of how to make use of it

First check in settings, scroll down to storage and see if it's been listed as memory module. Something like External SD card and a bar next to it saying how much of it is free and how much space you have left.
If you've put in a 16GB card it should read something like 14.6GB free of 16GB (you never get all the memory).
The device RAM will be listed in a separate bar as will the devices' main memory.
Check you have some kind of Office APP or management type APP, download either a free one or buy one. This will be able to write on the SD card.
There are specific SD card managers so it's up to you what you install, go for the simplest one to begin with.
The device may not have much internal memory so it's important to move some heavy APPs to the SD card and also save video files directly to SD.
Keep it simple as you can, everyone has some different way to write or use so I can't describe any. It's not that hard anyway, just looks complicated.

Im having problems with storage, its a nokia lumia 530 and says 3.04GB used the phone system is saying its using 2.68GB I have minimal apps, photos and no music yet I am almost out even after a reset

First, tell the phone to store new files and apps on the SD card.
On the start screen, swipe left, and tap Storage Sense.
Tap SD card for each file type.

Next, move existing apps to the memory card
Tap phone -> apps+‎games -> bullet list icon
Select which apps to move.
Tap Move to SD.
You can later choose to move the most-used apps back to your phone from the memory card if running them from the card proves to be too slow.

Can't move things to sd card

One question. Were you able to move apps to the sd card before?
When you go to settings, storage, does it show the external sd card? I want to explain something first. The sd card is an expandable storage card, but it won't store your apps. If you want to check it out just insert the old memory card in a computer and look for any apps. Smartphones usually comes equip with 2 types of storage:
1. Internal phone memory: which could range from 500mb. to 2gb. of storage. This will be by default the location where the apps would be saved.
2. Internal SD Card: this is an expand storage that is already in the smartphone. Notice that when you see an ad for the phone it usually advertise whether it is 4, 8 or 16gb. That is the internal SD storage.
The third option is the external micro sd card, which is the one you are having problem with.
In storage under settings, see if you have an option to mount the sd card, maybe it's not mounted. You can also clon or copy everything from the old sd card to the new sd card using a computer, and then try it again.

I dont know how to move media from microSD to internal storage for motorola i1, basically I have 59mb on a SD card and the phone's internal storage has 258mb, I WANT to move all photos & MUSIC...

First, I need to educate you - and then caution you - about what you are attempting to do.

Let me start off by telling you that you are correct: your phone has 230 mb for internal storage. However, when Motorola manufactured the i1, they installed a 600MHz Freescale ARM 11 Processor. This processor can handle up to a 32 GB capacity micro SD memory card. This is a large capacity card and there's a reason for it.

Specifically, the processor in your phone also requires a large portion of your internal memory to be free - so it can run / perform as fast as it can. With your internal memory full, your processor will slow WAY down, and will become susceptible to freeze-ups.

As such, your phone pretty much requires you to use a PC to transfer files both, to and from your memory card. This is actually to keep you from constantly getting a Low Memory message from your internal memory being full. And, with only 230 mb of memory (which isn't much) it wouldn't take long to fill it up - and slow the processor in your phone down - with photo's and music.

To be sure, in your phone's manual on page 36 it reads: "Your music is stored on your memory card. Your phone supports removable microSD memory cards up to 32 GB capacity."
This is Motorola's way of telling you to ONLY use your memory card to store music and not your phone's internal memory.

Moreover, on page 42 of your phone's manual it reads: "You can transfer your pictures, videos, music, ringtones, and more, from your computer to your phone's memory card." Again, Motorola point is to tell its i1 customers to use their memory card and not their internal memory for storage.

I'm telling you this for a reason. Working here at FixYa, I receive request every day for assistance when a person's phone freezes up. It is almost always because they were using their phones internal memory for storage and got it too full.

You really should use a computer to transfer files both, to and from your phone's memory card and keep as much of your phones internal memory as free as possible.

Here's a link to an online manual for your phone if you would like to review the pages I've talked about. And, I hope you follow my advise.

Can only take couple of photos when it says memory full delete items, gallery empty

it depends which memory you are using. This phone has 2 type of storage, 1 as an internal one and the other is a micro sd card which may not come with the phone. If it has not got one then the phone memory would not allowed too many pictures as it has a 2mega pixel camera...You may need to buy a micro sd or else check your configuration if you are using phone memory rather than the micro sd(if you have one of course).Hope this helps.
