Menu won't stop popping up!

I purchased the t.v model #32A43 about four years ago. Just recently the menu continues to pop up and won't stop. I used to be able to get it to stop by using the buttons on the t.v and now those won't work. How do I fix this? Help me please!

Im having same problem. Is their a way to disable The TV buttons completely and just use a universal remote?

The first thing I would check is if any of the buttons on the tv has been push in too far including the menu button,if any of this buttons is making contact it will confuse the microcomputer and the rest of button become inoperable.Another possibility is corrosion in the buttons beacuse soemething has spill into them like pop or water.Check it out and let us know.Be careful,make sure set is not plug in.

Hi,

It seems to be a hardware issue with the buttons. They are stuck or the rubber cushion under the button has gone bad. That's the reason they are getting pressed automatically. You may take to a local store for a small repair.

Hello there id try Fully resetting the power to the unit if that doesn't seem to work check to make sure the menu key is not sticky if it is make sure the unit has no power and clean the menu key.

I would not keep a new LCD TV that has immediate problems. I would get a refund and purchase a more standard brand television. Experience has taught me that if one has problems immediately with an LCD TV itself, it is likely to continue to be problematic.

dopy, the problem is leaky tact switches on the control board, have changed out many of these especially on the 2003 model which of course is the 32A43, part number for the switches is 23344443, swap them and your done, BMW Rider

check the menu button on front panel(if available) if theres a sign of stock up.compare it to other button ch up ch down etc.this may cause the menu to pop up and disable all button even the remote control. but in rare case,the system control chip may be malfunctioning.hope this help u...
