My PDP-R03u continues to shut off, sometimes multiple times in a row, other times it goes days without happening. Need repaired or replacement box.

I have EXACTLY the same problem that you described. When I spoke with a Pioneer technician, I was told to send it to Columbus Ohio or to California to their repair center for a flat fee of $500.00. He was quite familiar with the symptoms as I told them to him. I would appreciate any help in getting the receiver repaired (for much less than $500.00) or replaced.

Convert the White cable to HDMI plug on one end, and from the hdmi cable box going to hdmi home theater amp and out to tv. Problem fix and throw the midia to the trash!

Depending on how badly do you want it?First, call 1-800-pioneer and see if they have any left?
I would put a "wanted" ad on Craigslist and see if there is any owner of the TV(could be either the 50" and 43" monitors.)out there do have a damage or malfunction of this commercial Plasma TV that they don't want to fix,but the media box is still good!
Lastly, you would need to order it out of U.S. UK or Japan of Pioneer division will be my best bet.
Let me know if you have any additional questions.

lenwas,
I have the exact same problem with the same model tv. It just stopped working, tv has no lights or evidence of power and the red standby light on the media center flashes without any other function potential.
I checked the internal tv fuse and it was measuring continuity.
If you figure anything out I'd be interested to hear it.

PDP 5030 blinking red light on monitor

Those blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. It has details about blinking codes, and fault locating procedure, to many popular brand TVs and other devices.

If blinks continue without any pause, the main board is faulty.

Pioneer media receiver won t turn on

If the light on the media reciever doesn't come on then the power supply in that needs to be replaced by a service tech. If you disconnect the 2 cables from the media reciever and the panel and then try to turn on the panel it should light with red and green squares for a few seconds but will turn off as it needs the media reciever to be connected.

My pdp r03u has an error code e01

I have a 50" Unit with this same part, I called Pioneer and told them what was happening, they asked me to count the flashes on the monitor power indicater light and when I told them the problem they told me that it was a dry solder weld, I called a tv repair tech and told him what was going on, he had never worked on Plasma Tv's and was very hesitant to start I told him if I just brought in the Media Box and had him check the solder joints how much would he charge he told me to try he wouldnt charge me anything, I jumped on that! he saw a few issues and fixed them, I brought the unit home plugged it into the tv and the tv works just fine!
