If you are using windows xp u wont be able to adjust it all depends on a video card and the operating system u are using. The only thing you can try if you have a dvi plug in the back of your tv you can use that to adjust your resolution.

good luck

This TV has default incredible resolution of 1920 x 1080p.

Check out the Connector HDMI input, VGA input. Get it repair from the Company if you still have the warranty other wise call a Repair man.

In computer click Advanced Settings , click List All Modes (from the Adapter tab), select the resolution, and click OK .
If the native resolution setting is not available as a selection in Windows, you can temporarily use 1024 x 768 to complete these steps. However, you should update the graphics driver on the computer. Updating the graphics driver can provide more display resolutions to Windows; possibly including the native display resolution for the monitor.

If you're into connecting a computer to your TV, bear in mind that via the standard analog VGA input, the best the plasma will do is 1366x768, but if you have a DVI output, and use a HDMI - DVI-D cable, you can get the full native 1920x1080 resolution of the panel.so adjust that.
thanks

You should be able to go to the menu and either adjust the width of the picture or the zoom settings for the picture. You might even have that option on your remote control which will make it easier for you to set.

I don't have a direct solution but I am having the same problem when connecting (1) my Apple TV (2) my Blu-Ray player, etc. via HDMI. I also have a digital camera that puts out HDMI, and when I hook it up, I get the same story -- video only, no sound through the optical digital output of the TV receiver.

I am guessing that the HDMI inputs were an afterthought on this model, especially since the printed manual doesn't even show or mention the HDMI inputs at all! So my guess is that the TV's receiver does not convert the sound from the HDMI to the optical digital output. It does, however, send the amplified HDMI sound to the stereo speaker outputs on the monitor. It appears that only the digital tuner's 5.1 sound comes out on the optical digital output.

This is what I have observed, for what it's worth.

Yamaha DSPAX761 no s-video to HDMI

S-Video and Composite are analogue and HDMI is digital. Your receiver dose not have the capability to convert from analogue to digital and hence you are not not getting any video.
