Question about RCA P61960 61" Rear Projection Television
Is good you have checked the main fuse and is good, what that means is you have voltage going in but you loose it down the line,if you have no indication of power(no lights ,no clicks) you need to check if you have the 5 volts that power the microprocessor witch is the brain and it uses 5 volts to aperate, the 5 volts come from a 12 volt regulator so you will have 12 volts in one side and 5 volts in the other,if you have lights or clicks when you push the power button you have 5 volts but one of the other voltages is missing,Check the horizontal output transistor for a short,if it is bad it likely cooked the safety resistor that gives him the voltage. If you are familiar with tv service you have a place to start but if you are not too familiar be safe and call for assistance from a servicer.Let us know if you need more information or how it went.
