Question about Kodak EasyShare C340 Digital Camera
I've had my camera for a long time now, and it has worked fine until recently. At first, it would only download to my computer if I opened the right program. Now, it won't download to it at all. My computer doesn't recognize the camera anymore. I haven't changed any of the settings, so I don't know why this is happening. It will pick up that the camera is attached, but it doesn't seem to think that there is anything else to do. Is this a camera problem or a computer one?
Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer.
The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.
Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.

Easy fix. Uninstall the existing Kodak Easyshare software. Reboot your computer and reinstall it again. This should reboot your computers memory of the camera and take it as a 'new' external device.
Hope it helps!
