The problem I had was removing the grey rubber drive. The solution is that it screws off not pops off. The trick is to use narrow needle nose pliers to grab the post that attaches to the motor and turn the rubber drive counter clockwise. Removing the motor becomes easy. Pull out the 4 rubber feet under the base and the screws will be exposed. However my situation was the grey drive gear was stripped and would bottom out. My solution was to use a same size lock washer as the washer between the post and the drive. So far so good! If it fails I will need to buy another grey drive. Myron

Krups Model 239 Blender runs fine but blade cavitates when 'blending' almost anything - soup, ice for marguritas, etc. Blade spins like crazy below a gob of unblended whatever above. Needs repeated coaxing with a spoon. What's up?

The drive gear (coupler?), okay "thingie" that turns the blade assembly on my Krups 239 blender needs to be replaced. And ideas on how to remove it? I'd rather repair than replace. Thanks!

The motor works, but can't rotate the blade when the unit is empty (or full). I took it apart and it seems that tightening down the jar restricts the movement of the blade so that it cannot be rotated. I've tried not tightening the jar all the way down, and the machine works in an unsatisfying manner. The blade jumps about due to the extra vertical space and the jar feels wobbly when I move it. Is there a way to tighten the jar to it base without pinching the rotation base for the blade?
