I have a vivitar camera for less than a year. The SD card is also less than a year old. One day the camera was working fine and the next day I turned it on and pressed the button to take a picture. The camera seemed to take the picture but nothing showed up and the camera froze up. I couldn't turn it off without taking the battery out and reinserting it. I am able to turn the camera off and on if I don't try to take a picture. When I try to take a picture with the internal memory only I get the message "picture error" I can take one picture with internal memory and get the message "out of memory" I had the clerk at Staples check the card and he said he couldn't tell if the SD card was bad but it might be since it didn't give him an option to reformat. Any help would be appreciated!!!!

- Thanks for anyone who would have helped! I finally took the camera and card to staples and Allen put a card in that he had on hand and it turned out to be the card that was causing all the trouble. It was a sandisk only a few months old so it should have been good still, but I am happy it wasn't anything more expensive.
