    then it turns on yellow/orange

    at last is flashes red

    I also called playstation service

they sad the only solution was to replace it for 190 euro

I hope some of you got a better solution

  • HbyH Nov 05, 2008

Yeah this happened to my PS3 60gb from Jan 1, 2007.

I'm sorry to say this, but as far as I know (and I've searched) It's Dead (They call it the YLOD -- Yellow light of death -- I didn't even know the damn system had a yellow light!) .

You can get a replacement from sony for free if it has been less than a year, otherwise you'll have to pay sony like $150 for a refubished model (or so I've heard). Or if you have a store warranty, you could try to use that.

I was lucky enough to have a 2-year full replacement warranty from where I bought it, so I'll get all of my money back.

    Good Luck

i too have been cursed with the yellow light of death. i was watching a movie it froze like before when it would freeze i would use the power button to shut down and then i tried to resume my movie it came on green then yellow then blinking red. i tried everythign except for taking it apart then i broke downa dn called sony they said for me to send it in with 150 and then i should get it back. now i didn't ask what would happen with my saved game data or anything. maybe i should pull the hard drive otu before sending it?

Put new cartridge in but error light keeps coming on even after reboot how do i fix this?

Remove the cartridge and put it in again.
If it has a reset button, push that.
If you have "refilled" your cartridge the answers will be different. Did you?

Keeps giving me E2 not printing a paper will com e through when

If you hear the printer trying to grab the paper (you also may see that the rollers turn) but it does not grab the paper , means the the rubber that grabs the paper are dried, and should be replaced.

If the rollers do not turn (no sound either) then there is a problem with printer's mainboard.

Meanwhile (if you need it urgently) put more pages in tray to add volume (will press the paper to the rubber).
