Lenovo T60 interfacing with Vizio HDTV using RGB cable

I am having trouble interfacing my Lenovo T60 with ATI X1400 graphics card to my Vizio 50" Plasma HDTV (1366*768 resolution) using RGB cable. After 3-4 minutes of displaying properly on TV, TV report no signal and the picture moves to the laptop lcd screen. Many times picture keeps flpping between HDTV and Laptop screens and sometime laptop crashes.

I have similar troubles connecting this laptop to a 24" monitor @ 1920X1200 resolution.

The X1400 supports Full-HD resolution. Full-HD/True-hd (1920x1080)
The best output would be via DVI but you are limited with the VGA port.
I would purchase a Grand Hi-Wire PC to HDTV converter from Item # G126-1036 @ $139.99

If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it.
Thanks, Joe

Lenovo ThinkPad T60 goes to blank screen at random intervals.

Hello you just have to upgrade the driver for the graphic card.

You can also use windows update

Visit lenovo here:

Or use the autodetect function

If it not helps with the driver your display has a defect
its not a easy task to change the display.
The local computer repair shop should be able to help you with that.

Good luck

Hi..... I have a Fujitsu Lifebook N6410 dual core at 1.9 GIG with an ATI mobility X1400...can I Just upgrade the vide card to an X1600...or in your gifted opinion is it not worth the trouble?" ...

As with most laptops it is not possible to remove the graphics card since it is normally soldered onto the motherboard. Whether this is the case for your laptop or not, it will probably not be worth the trouble for such a small upgrade. If you are having troubles playing games I would suggest getting a new laptop or possibly a desktop since they are much easier to upgrade.

Yes, but you will need either one of these two devices:

1. The Vidock2 is an external graphics adapters for laptops, which looks good. Supposedly it can use any PCI-E x16 card you want.

2. ATI XGP is another option- ATI XGP is an external graphics solution for notebook PCs. ATI XGP is designed to deliver enthusiast-class graphics performance, true multimedia upgradeability and multiple connectivity options, revolutionizing GPU performance on a notebook PC equipped with an external PCI Express 2.0 connector.

I have an FS Amilo pi 1536 laptop, with a ATI Mobility Radeon X1400 Graphic Card. When I use full accelaration of Graphics, something like chess board flashes on my screen, only when I try to see a movie...

Start saving for a new laptop, that chequered effect is the sign of video corruption caused by a failed video chip. Replacing it is out of the question since a replacement part would cost more than the laptop is worth (unless you can find a sh one).

IBM Lenovo t60, the logon user interface DLL

To wipe and reload you don't actually have to log in. You just need to set first boot option to CD, insert the XP disk, and reboot the computer. All the steps from there on out are explained on the screen.

I hope this helps :)
