Question about Dell Wireless Keyboard Optical Mouse w0147
I have Dell wireless mouse that's been working fine for a couple of years and now stops working after a few seconds of use. Naturally I've tried fresh batteries multiple times...it's not batteries. The LED just stops working. I can push the green button and it will work for 10 to 20 seconds and stops again.
I have this problem when I use Kirkland batteries from Costco. I don't get it but when I placed brand new batteries in the mouse it worked and then stopped. Hit the reset button, it works and then stops. I replaced the batteries with Energizers, no problem.

I had this problem, but only when my batteries were dead. Check the contacts on the batteries to make sure they're working. Are all the buttons failing too? It might be a broken microswitch (or whatever they use these days). It sounds like you're looking at a new mouse if it's not contacts. Unless someone else on this forum has different ideas.
