are you using and after market harness to go from your bronco to the harness to the new radio. if so make sure all the colors are matched up (e.i. purple to purple, purple/black to purple/black). did the speakers work before the aftermarket unit. Also check the wiring at the oem speakers

SOURCE: After installing the alpine cde 9870 car stereo

In this situation 8 times out of 10 the problem is not with the radio, it's that there are factory amplifiers. Many cars have them, and most require a little work, or an adapter to get going. Tell me the year, make, and model of the car, and perhaps I can give you more info.

SOURCE: I have an Alpine head unit and a 30gb iPod

What model Alpine do you have? Have you gone into the setup menu and poke around and see if you have a setting (AUX +) and if you do turn it off and see. Than if that doesn't do the trick if you have an Alpine dealer close by see if you can "borrow" a KCA-422 full speed iPod cable and quickly plug that in and if it works than it is the cable. But if it still does not recognize the iPod it is a problem in the head unit and needs to be repaired..

SOURCE: connecting a car stereo to an amplifier

you have to connect your 4 speakers to 4 speakers output direct to your car stereo no need of amplifier to 4 speaker but speakers should be small not like a woofer, and you have to connect your sub woofer by using amplifier don't connect direct. connect the output of your car stereo (using 2 RCA) to the 2 RCA inputs of amplifier. If u connect your 4 speakers to your amplifier then your car stereo does not support Left Right channel.
You can also connect your laptop or iPod direct to your amplifier.
Good Luck
enjoy music

SOURCE: Play Ipod thru JVC CD car stereo using RCA cable?

JVC KD-S731R does not have the option of connecting an ipod. The RCA ports on the rear of the unit are a Line-Out. These RCA's only OUTPUT sound. Not an INPUT RCA that you require. The only other method of using an ipod with this stereo is to purchase an FM-Modulator to connect the ipod. Once purchased, you must connect the antenna wire coming from the vehicle to the module, then you must connect the antenna wire coming from the module to the stereo. The other wire will be connected to either a jack or a ipod specific plug depending on the type of modulator used.

What connection do i need to connect my cell phone (droid x) to my car stereo alpine CDE-9881

There is no physical connection to connect any cell phone to that receiver other than an Iphone. The only option you have is to buy an fm modulator that has a 3.5mm headphone plug and plug it in to your phone. Then start playing your media.

Alpine cde-9870 non-ipod mp3 player AUX FUNCTION

When you press the SOURCE/( ' ) button and select iPod as the source, make sure you turn on AUX+ so that the external device is used as the source. AUX+ is turned off when you want to use an iPod with this head unit.

I don't know why some people thought to answer your question with an answer based on a different model.

Trying to install a CDE-9881 into a 93 Honda Accord, is the mounting sleeve the only hardware used, or is there a mounting bracket also. Stereo will go in dash, but is unstable, and cuts out.

Take your radio unit out of the mounting sleeve and see if you can bend tabs to hold the sleeve more securely to the dash panel... Not the greatest mounts... look on top, bottom and sides...

How to use MP3 on it

That model has a front-auxillary port on it.
Just purchase a cable online (http://www.yourcablestore.com/6-Foot-25mm-Stereo-Headphone-Cable-Male-Male_p_76.html) or in Walmart, BestBuy, etc.
When you get it, hook one end into the stereo and the other end to your MP3 player.
Set the Aux as the source and press Play on the MP3 player.

Accessing aux port on Alpine CDE 9881

If you happen to have the tool which allows you to remove your head unit from the dash use it. If not go to crutchfield.com and get one it's useful for any audio enthusiast. Once you have the tool pull the head unit out on the back of the unit there is a cable that is black with a blue connector tip. This is what you plug your cable that you got from your audio dealer into. As for making the cable accesible you may have to drill a hole in your dash or run the wire around and out the glovebox which is also common and suggested for your particular car.

I have a CDE-9872 and it wont pick up my ipod touch

Add Alpine's optional "Full Speed" connection cable and you'll be able to use the CDE-9872 to control your iPod. -Crutchfields website

This is compatible with first and second generation iPods touch.
fyi- if you have a mini-stereo aux in jack on the deck you can connect a ipod touch compatible mini stereo cable to the earphone jack of your ipod.

Alpine CDE 9881

You must have a faceplate from that exact model, no others will work. You can try to contact Alpine for a replacement. If it is any consolation, someone has a useless faceplate, because it won't work with anything else, either. Try running an ad in your local lost & found column, you just might get lucky, especially if you offer a reward.
