Make sure that you have the proper drivers and backround programs for running the controller. I have the same issue with my Logitech Controller sometimes, it just takes specific detailed searchs to find the right drivers to work with the computer to get the analog system to work on the controller.

Also, make sure to go entirely through the configuration setup for the controller on your computer, and then make sure to save it as a profile within the program for future use. Cant tell you how many times i have goofed and forgotten to save the profile and then had to go back through and do it all over again.

That very well could be the case, that the game software itself wont support it. Its a sad day when it wont, but its never the first time ive seen it, I cant even play Need for Speed Carbon on my computer with my controller because the controller isnt as sensitive as a regular game console controller. And anyone who has played it knows that in that game, you need super sensitive controlling to handle the drift races

Sometimes the analogs dont work with some games. Its hard to explain really. The manufacturers who put out the drivers dont think to customize and make full use of the hardware they create. I had to get special software drivers for my controller to make it work with my Emulators, and even then, they dont work perfectly.

Ive just bought a saitek p380 dual analog gamepad. When playing all games if i press left it goes up and right it goes down. Ive tried everything. i have windows 7. Is that the problem do you think?cheers

it usualy the settings in the game. just try to reconfigure the x and y axes to do the right thing inside the game you are playing and that should solve the problem. i did it and it worked fine for me

right stick x-axis>axis properties>map x-axis to>mouse x axis. do the same for y axis. if you download the latest profiler. it has a tutorial.

ftp://ftp.logitech.com/pub/techsupport/joystick/lgs502.exe

older version has to be uninstalled first you will not loss your profile setting by uninstalling the older version.

Setting up rumble pad

Ok well here is what i did for using the direction pad to play flatout, a pc racing game, using the Wireless rumblepad 2 controller. First open up profiler, click on d-pad, select assignment, then click new POV assignment. Put a check on FPS style movement. Then click edit, then click new keystroke. Hit record and then on the keyboard hit the up, down, left and right keys. Then hit stop and click ok. click cancel on the window right behind it. So now you are viewing the POV assignment window that we opened before. Here what you do is, say for instance hit the "N" button and then to the right of it you see "pov north", hit the scroll down menu and hit "keystroke Up" for N. Like wise you click the "E" button and for POV east you assign "Keystroke right". And so like wise "keystroke down" for "S" and "keystroke left" for "W". Once you have all that done. You hit ok and just open up whatever game you want to play and the Direction pad should be able to allow you to steer or go in the up, down, left or right direction. Hope these instructions help solve your problem.
