this post is not so much a trouble shooting problem but more a beware. the balance g557s unit is built by ecs under their model number 557 http://www.ecs.com.tw/ECSWeb/Products/Pr...
it is serviced by http://www.sambyte.com/ who in return will not sell a replacement mb even to a trained and ms/comptia certified shop.
i have had 3 now all with bad mb's , 1 bad vidio chip, 1 bad sound chip and 1 the plug soldered unto the mb for the speakers became unsoldered,
any one else find this problem/

Have the same problem with G557S motherboard is dead (no output to screen or external monitor ) and can't find anywhere for a replacement motherboard

Wizecs sell laptops that are more often than not just clones of others. The company who produces most of these "clones" is MITAC. ive had many problems with clones in the past. Theyre unreliable badly built with poor quality parts and i would recommend everybody avoids a "bargain laptop"
