After downloading 28 songs it freezes up!

Hi, I´ll appreciate any help you can provide me with. The problem is as follows: I start downloading songs into my Sansa m230 mp3 player and after the 28th song is downloaded it freezes up and does not allow any more songs to be downloaded, it uses only 30% of full capacity. I already have updated the firmware from, and formatted the device and nothing seems to work. Any ideas about how to solve this problem?. Thanks.

I want to put in some songs how should i do that?

Hi, simply connect it to your computer via the USB cable provided, then on my computer there should be a drive for your mp3 player, after this you can drag and drop songs in to the mp3 player.

Hope this helps

hi, just want to ask if, before you've dowloaded song to your mp3 have you scan it for possible virus? it's adviceable to scan 1st all dowloaded song before transferring to mp3 player for some of it have imbeded malware and virus. most common virus is the brontok which will freeze your played files then shut it off.

try to download " ESET nod32" anti virus and scan your mp3 for possible virus infection. NOD32 have a free trial and can still work even if the trial period expired.

You will need to format your mp3 player, either using the software that was provided when you brought it or using thy simple processudre through my computer.

If you don't know how to do is using the software do it the other way.

Follow these steps. Click "start" - "My Computer" - look for you mp3 player usually called "Removable Disk" right-click on it and click on "Format".

Allow your Mp3 player to format and upload songs on it again and see if the problems been fixed.

Good luck. Hope my solution was helpful.

Playing songs

I've had the same problem, an it started when I formatted the player's flash memory to NTFS, an then realised it needed to be back in FAT(Win95) format for the mp3 player to play the songs. But after doing that, sometimes it'll mess up an the song number changes to 826, an the player completely freezes. I have to then take the battery out to restart it.
If anyone has schematics, or knows where I can track them down, I would be appreciative, for the RCA lyra M200
