After the tv is on for about 20 min.it turns off,and i cant turn it back on.After it cools off i have to turn the main power switch off and on and then it powers back on.

Our television turns itself off after 3-4 minutes. I've had a repairman out. He takes the tv back to the shop for a week and when he returns the problem is still there. He swears that the tv works in his shop. This has happened three times already and he wants to try for a fourth. The last time the TV worked when delivered, but there was no sound. He took the back off and jiggled the connector on the sound board and the sound started working. He put the TV together and I signed off on the delivery, within five minutes after he left it turned itself off again.

Sorry to tell you a common problem with these sets. It is a bad capacitor in the main power supply.. There are really about three of them that go bad from time to time to cause this problem... If your not a tech you should find an authorized repair facility as a non authorized is not going to know what to do to fix it and it will most likly cost you double to repair. Good luck and let us know how you got it fixed.

I have one I bought about four years ago and am starting to have problems with a refurbished one they replaced after they could not get the original one to work after replacing two of the four parts they were supposed to replace. Any suggestions?

What do you think it's worth if it's still working but I can tell the color is going out and the Power is messed up?
