No video no sound

Time for a new TV, a new 42"-47" LED is cheaper (and oh so much better) than repairing this one you have which is power hog and really old technology.

First thing to try: unplug from the wall; count to ten; plug back in; try again

Second thing to try: unplug from the wall; count to 10,000 (or wait 10 minutes or so); plug back in; try again

#1 worked for me when it would power on with no video, no sound, just small green light + white logo

Those blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Please check lamp in tv as pop sound seems broken lamp.
Did you replaced lamp in last 2-3 years in tv? If not, then its lamp that got broken and tv needs new lamp.
Lamp replacement procedure is written in user manual and its easy, please buy Sony original lamp for good picture in tv.

you blew the speakers in it it is toast.

pulled main board and reseat conector in the board right in the middle of the set. set is runing for two hours, keep you posted.

the difference between tv and av, is that av has no showers on the screen. if you change to av you will notice a blue screen, connect your yellow on vedio output and white/ red on audio out of tv
note- before connecting to a vedio touch a tip of your vedio cable some lines will show on your screen, if touch your audio tip harming noise will sound on your tv. if this two happens then you know that your cables are okey. hold your channel button on your tv, channel will start runing after all rf channels finish, tv will go to av.

a sony should only blink up to 8 times. If its continuous without any pause that usually means No reply from the jungle (data bus is busy, shorted to ground or held
high), IK video path is defective.
Count your blinks again. let me know.

Sony has a code for those blinks indicating the problem area. Count the blonks till the pause then google Sony blink codes for the area to fix.
