Can't see the menu options

I am having problem with my sandisk c140. It no longer shows options when I press the menu botton. The only thing that I can see is the arrows... but nothing else... I downloaded the sandisk driver updater and it is asking me to change the mode from MTP to MSC... but since I could not see the option in the menu I can't do that... can anyone give me some advise on how to resolved this problem thanks...

Hi I have the same problem. I can see the icons for music, radio, microphone etc. but there is not text to read what is going on. When I hook it up to the computer, there is not text on the mp3 player, only a white screen. I would like to format the player, but it does not show up in "My Computer" Any thoughts? Thanks

I have a quick and painless solution for you.

First open your mp3 player and go to settings. Under the USB menu change it to MSC. Then plug in the mp3 player to the computer. Open the My Computer on your desktop, right click on the Sansa mp3 player and click Format. Make sure Fat32 is checked and Quick format is UNchecked. Then format the mp3 player. After that it should be clean and work just like a USB drive.

Hope this helps!

Try a "hard reset". Press and hold the power button for 15 seconds to shut off. With the device off, press and hold the vol + and the center select button. Power it back on, see if that works. You can add to the question if you have more questions. Best of Luck.

You need to Have Windows XP / SP2, Wndows Media Player 10 or higher in order for the device to be recognized. If you have these components, try changing the mode on the device to MSC Mode. Settings>Mode>MSC. Best of Luck.

Hello, having trouble with my mp3 player SanDisk c140.

Solution is pretty simple.

Go to Settings on your device -> USB -> Change it to MSC.

When you connect it to your computer on Win2000 it will show as a drive. Open the drive you should see the folders. Drag and drop your mp3's into Music* folder. Or your videos into Video folder and your Photos to Photos folder.

Try to connect your Sansa c140 to another PC. If it continued to show that it isn't recognized then I'm sorry to tell you that your Sansa ROM has malfunctioned. Only people at Sandisk could fix it.
