Question about Samsung CLP-500 Laser Printer
My printer was stored for about a year and I recently brought it out to use it. It worked perfectly before storage and now the colors are light and not very crisp. The black text is perfectly crisp and deep. The Toner Check shows that each of the colors is over 60% and that the black is at 33% (which has the best performance anyway). I have shaken (redistributed) the toner cartridges and reinstalled with no noticable change. Please help.
Sound like the printer need a good cleaning. including the toner opening.
The toner may be expired. as the color pigment deteriorated with age.
usual color pigment store in a dry and cool place can last 2 years, if lefted out in the printer, it may only give you max 1 year.
