Invalid engine code --- is a bad engine board - located on the LHS of the printer behind the formatter board

Invalid engine code?

Try putting the old fuser back and see if it gets rid of the error, then if that's the case the new fuser is defective. If not, here's a link to the Lexmark website which gives you instructions on what to do when having that "Invalid Engine Code" error message. http://bit.ly/9D61W3. Hope this helps. Let me know if you need more assistance.

Invalid engine code

The easiest way to solve this is to work through Lexmark Technical Support.

Their web site may have the correct engine code on their site, but installation of the code can be tricky.

Are you getting a 900 Invalid Engine code message?

Lexmark T522 (invalid Machine code)

i take it that your getting an invalide engine code error? this is caused usually by the printer taking a power surge. you can get a batch file from lexmark to reflash the engine board however if it will take the code it usually odesnt last to long. change the engine board and your problem will go away

Infoprint 1120 929 service toner sensor error code

The problem is caused by one of the following (normally it's the cartridge that's faulty, very common on Lexmark's and IBM Infoprints)

The toner sensor is not operating properly, the developer
drive assembly is not operating properly or the print
cartridge is defective

Invalid Engine Code

This is actually a Lexmark printer, so what I'm quoting is a Lexmark sol.

turn off machine

hold down returnand go buttons

turn on printer

hold  until performing test shows and let go of buttons

it will go to a service mode ( instead of saying ready)

got to printer set up

hit select button

go to engine 1,2 or 3

try each one ( hit select to go into that perticular number)

what you are looking for is a number that has an * next to it. Use the arrow keys to scroll. most likely it changed the setting so go and look for that number w/the * and hit select when you see it.

Have to replace controller board / engine board

controller board and engine board are on the left hand side of the printer. remove side cover (plastic) and screws to silver cover. controller bd is first - just a bunch of screws and one in the back where the eithernet plug area. (some you dont have to remove but mostly remove the big ones - it will come free. Keep track of which screws go where. The engine board is next. All the plugs are either size or color coded you cant mix them up. a few more screws and the engine bd is out. Reverse to install.
