Problem hooking up Logitech X-530 Computer speakers to New computers.

I had the Logitech X-530 on a 2004 self built computer. It worked fine on that, computer. The problem I'm having, is making it work on my new computer. The computer i'm using is a HP M9350f. I tried playing music, and stabbing the ports in the back with the colored cords but with no luck. Any help would be great thx

You sound computer savy if you built your first computer. if you take a sound card pci and install it see if your speakers work ..most of time we assume because its new everyhing works. test and varify first. ...if you did not build your own computer return to store so you dont void your warrentee.

Need instructions to hook up Logitech X-350 systen to computer or other devise

I take it you mean a Logitech X-530? There is no X-350...
It is designed as a PC speaker system. It has three 3.5mm plugs that plug into the three matching sockets on your computer.
If you don't have three audio sockets on your computer, it is because your computer is not 5.1 compatible. Just plug the green plug into your PCs audio output.
You can buy a 5.1 audio card relatively cheaply.
To hook up other devices: Use the green 3.5mm plug - you will only get stereo, not 5.1

Im trying to connect my Logitech X-530 to my PS3.

You need a digital decoder that is compatible with the ps3 and the speakers.

You would then run a digital optical link from the ps3 to the decoder and the normal speaker cables from the decoder to the speakers.

Decoders can be quite expensive and it can sometimes be easier to buy a set of 5.1s with the decoder either built in or included with the package.

Connecting Logitech X-530 speakers to TV flatscreen.

It really depends on what the Tv is capable of, and how you want to strategize the connection, but yes, it can be done.

According to the X-530 User Manual , the speaker system comes with an included video game adapter, for hookup with a console. if your LCD TV has stereo RCA output jacks, you could hook up your speakers to it in that fashion. If not, you may have to buy an adapter that converts whatever you have to RCA.

Another way you could attempt to connect it, is to buy a stereo RCA-to-3.5mm (g9) adapter, and connect to your computer's line in (if it's stereo). Your computer would be doing all the speaker sound positioning, and would have to be left on while you're watching TV, but that would work, as well.
