I burnt out one of my channels on my receiver and need to know how to fix it.

I believe it is actually a memory capacitor that has to be replaced. It is soldered directly into the board and requires quite a bit of know-how to replace.

i cant help you on the solution but i can tell you my AVR435 does the same thing and im returning for a new model..whatever replaces it..img lad i got the extended warranty since i bought mine 5 years ago
Disconnect speakers and wires. Bad wiring or defective speakers may be loading the amp down and causing the protection circuits inside to disconnect (no sound). If the HK is heating up (beyond what you perceive as normal) with no wires or speakers connected then you have a problem requiring expert repair.
