This camera has hi-resolution which takes up a lot of memory, the internal memory of the camera is only sixteen megs. all you need is to add an sd card with 1 gbyte of memory and that will solve your problem.

My software had been corrupted for polaroid i836. how to get software.

You don't need any special software.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.

Can i use my polaroid i836 camera as a webcam?

No. The i836 was designed to store still images (and incidentally, videos) to memory. It was not designed to stream live video to another device.

That probably wasn't the answer you wanted to see, but there it is.

I have formatted and have bought a new memory card but it will only take 6 pictures and says that the memory is full

Make sure you are saving your pictures to the card, not the internal memory Next, make sure you have alarge enough card to hold a good amount of pictures. Next, set your picture size to something lower. Pictures can take as much as 6MB eack or as little as 1/4 MB each.

My Polaroid i836 won't do anything. I bought brand new batteries.

Yes it sounds like you should return it. If you just bought it I would not take the chance, exchange it for another one and see if you run into the same issue. Then go from there. If you need further assistance let me know.
Thank you,
Lee

I bought one today , and I had the same problem. I tried four brand new pairs of batteries and when I pressed the power button it just wouldn't work. I was going to return it tomorrow, but decided to try it again. I inserted the batteries that it originally came with and it finally worked. I tried the other batteries and it worked also, but not on the first try, in the third or fourth try. Maybe on the first few tries the batteries need to warm up? Anyway, it's working now.

Polaroid Camera i634 Memory

I have the same camera and yes, you have to get a memory card for it. Your camera will only let you take 2 pics becuase it has little space by itself. I would recommend the 1 GB memory card. You can store up to 400 pictures on it and it is the cheapest. It is definately worth it. The pictures and video turn up very, very clear. Good luck with it!
