Lost the software for visioneer onetouch 9220 usb scanner

You can go to visioneer's website and find that driver here: http://support.visioneer.com/products/9220/downloads.asp

For future references, simply take the manufacturer, the model and type download driver at the end of it, and place in Google Search. Then, MAKE SURE the link you follow starts with the manufacturer's website. Best of luck! Hope this helps...

Do i need more than just the drivers installed in order for the scanner to work? ie. Do I need the kodak software?

You will need the install disk to have your copier, scanner, etc to work properly\
You can contact the manufacturer for the installation disk or re install using the disk provided with the unit.
this should restore the scanner operation if you have lost that function.
2. check the user's manual for specific instruction on the scanner usage.

Need software for the scanner

Canon have all their drivers available on their website. However, if he installed the printer driver then I would expect that he also installed the scanner driver (on every Canon Multi I have installed they are both done together automatically by the installer software.
To find out if the driver is there, open your applications folder and look for 'Image Capture'.
Open it and see if identifies your scanner (make sure it's switched on of course). See if you can scan from there.
Post back and let us know.

If you have lost you cd or don't know how to install your printer then all you need to do is download the drivers and software from the manufactures website that suits your operating system and printer.

Drivers and software download areas for brands listed below, just click to gain access and then locate driver for your needs.

Brother Epson Sharp Canon Lexmark OKI Dell HP Kyocera Samsung Konica/Minolta Xerox Panasonic

PLEASE NOTE

When installing drivers/software it is generally a good practice to -

My new PC with the new Vista Vision will not except the software that came with scanner for my Epson Perfection 1260 Model J121A.What can you do ? Sincerely Gunter !

In Vista there is a feature called UCI (user access interface ) that won't allow you to run or install system software.
To install software you need to put CD in, if it goes autorun stop it.
  • Then you click on computer ,
  • click right button of mouse on cd and chose OPEN or EXPLORE, dont double click as it will go autorun again and you'll need to stop it.
  • Locate the installer file (setup or something.exe) in the CD contents.
  • Click right button of mouse on installer file (within cd files) and chose ' run as administrator ' from drop down menu
  • Grant access to installer file whenbever required by Vista.

It should be installed normally. If you still get problems after this it is probably a faulty CD.
