2003 Dodge Durango front blower not blowing

Put 12v directly to motor and it works, drawing < 4A. Pulled dash control panel out, with meter on terminals, seems OK - continuity between each terminal and the common terminal as the switch is rotated.
Turned key on and I have 12V to the motor and through the motor which tells me there is an open circuit "downstream" of the motor. Also have 12V on all wire harness terminals except for one (which has continuity to ground). Yet I plug it all in and the motor no longer turns. Can not locate the resistor block to check it. Any suggestions?

The blower motor resistor is bad. Should be right next to blower motor, inserted in the evaporator box.

I have a 2003 dodge durango front blower fan stopped working, back one still works. was told to check fuses but im not sure where they are. i dont have a owner manual.

There is normally two fuse panels one under the driver side dash somewhere or by the driver door at the dash, and one under the hood. Probably would be the one in the dash but really sounds like your motor went out.

2003 Dodge Durango SLT, A/C Problem

The rear A/C system in the Durango has its own AC and heater core like the front system does. There is a plastic flapper valve back there that either directs the air to one or the other depending on what you have selected up front.

While the part is not too expensive, the labor to get there requires removal of the interior panel on that side which is not fun. It can be done though.

99 Dodge durango heater not working

The blowers ion the back have there own blower motor. The front has it's own. The resister controls the range the blower motor runs on,( low, medium, high). If the blower motor is not working it may be the motor itself. Was the fuse checked:?

Check the Blower Motor Resistor. This controls the Blower Motor/Fan Speed.

My front blower in my 2001 durango is not blowing any air.

Check your owners manual, and locate the fuse for the front blower motor.Pull the fuse and see if it is blown, If not check for power (+12 v )and ground at the motor plug-in located close to the blower motor.

When i have the heater/defroster on the heater below blows cold air while the defrost blows hot. when i switch to just defrost the bottom heater stays on and blows cold air. when i have front dash and...

It sounds like you have a blend air door stuck. This is in the housing of the heater a/c blower unit under the passenger side of the dash. There is a motor on the top of the housing that could possibly be stuck or on working.

Heater Fan Only Works On High

This is 100% the Blower Motor Resistor, located adjacent to the Blower Motor. This is a common problem with Dodge. I had to replace my own and several dozen others on Chyrsler's, Dodge's, Plymouth and Jeep.

Make sure you disconnect the Battery and wait for 2-minutes to discharge the Air Bag System. Remove your Passenger Side - Dash -Glove Box for easier access.
