Slysoft have a brilliant app called "anydvd" it costs money, but it works a treat! more or less once installed it allows normal apps to see the data as unencrypted.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

I want to install pes2014 on my compaq610 but is

It may not be feasible to decrypt the file, last time I tried to use brute force file decryption it took me a week and the result was zero.
If you purchased this game from a store, and it has an encrypted file, look for some text file on its disk that must supply you the password. Else, ask the store where you bought the game.

I'm having a problem taking videos from a dvd to put in power director workspace

Hi vqnessavann
PDR 8 will run smoother if you first import the content of the dvd on your HDD in MPEG format .
Secundly , it won't work if the content is copy protected .
Otherwise , use a third party software such as TMPGEnc , NERO ... etc ... to convert VOB ( dvd ) files into Mpeg files .
To decrypt protected dvds , you can use free DVDFab HDDecrypter .
Best regards,
fanaudi .

Picture file MENC can't open in my PC

.MENC file extension is a Windows Mobile Encrypted File.

Open this link to read more about .MENC file. It say's there,

"MENC files are designed to be decrypted by the device that created the file. Therefore, MENC files can be transferred to a PC using Windows ActiveSync or Windows Mobile Device Center, but it may not be possible to decrypt the file on the computer. Also, changing the GUID on a MENC file will disable the ability of the decryption program to properly decrypt the file.

To avoid encrypting files, go to Settings ? System or Settings ? Security on the Windows Mobile device and uncheck the box that says "Encrypt files placed on storage cards.""

I LIVE IN ENGLAND CAN I play a dvd region 1 in my dvd player?

I don't think it would play on your DVD Player unless you DVD Player is "region-free" or "multi-region". Region 1 discs are intended for use with standard DVD players in North America (Canada and the USA). In most instances they can also be played on compatible "multi-region" DVD players (also known as "chipped" or "region-free" players).

Hope this helps.

Good luck.
Thanks for using FixYa.

I suspect my roomate has installed a keylogger on our computer. how can i know for sure and how can i block it from recording my keystrokes?

use the virtual keyboard on windows Start Menu > accessories > accessibility > On-Screen-Keyboard That might allow you to type without being recorded, but that might not always work Use these programs: ThreatFire and Snoopfree
And Password protect your profile so he won't be able to check for these programs.
Also, use a encrypt/decrypt program for passwords, so you can type in a encrypted password and have it decrypt it so he can't tell.
I suggest learning hex if you do that one above.
I'd appreciate if you rate this 4 thumbs if I had helped you. If I couldn't help you please rate accordingly.

Changing the DVD Region code

New DVD-ROM drives come with a firmware level RPC-2 with hardware protection. RPC 2 drives have a 5 change limit on regions, once the counter gets to 0 your drive is permanently locked to the last region it was set to. Even if you reformat or move the drive to another system it will still be locked to the last region. There are ways to get around it, some models have resetting tools made by 3rd parties to reset the change limit back to 5 and some also have firmware patches to remove the region lock.

The first solution is free VideoLAN player: click here to download VideoLAN.

The second solution is free Remote Selector tool: click here to download Remote Selector. Launch remselec22.exe file. Click Control tab. Choose Enabled, and check all options Region Free, Disable Macrovision, Disable User Prohibition Click Start Player button, and try to play your DVD

Finally Load another firmware for your DVD drive which disables the region code protection.

How I can "Decrypt data files" on Win XP Professional.

Since you reinstalled the OS, the certificate for the user has changed. You can try the following methods, but there is no guaranty it will work.
These method apply only if the computer name and users name stays the same as the original. If the machine name or the users name or the users privilege changed, these method will not work.

Only the following people can decrypt an encrypted file:
· The user who encrypted the file
· Any user who was designated as a recovery agent before the file was encrypted
· Any user who has the public key or private key for the recovery agent or the user who originally encrypted the file
· Any user who has been granted access to the file
Members of the Administrators group cannot decrypt files unless the person who encrypted the files designated them as recovery agents before encrypting the files.

Note You must be the original user who encrypted the file or a designated recovery agent for the file to follow these steps

Method 1:
To remove encryption from a file, follow these steps:
1. Use Windows Explorer to locate the encrypted file that you want to decrypt.
2. Right-click the encrypted file, and then click Properties.
3. On the General tab, click Advanced.
4. Click to clear the Encrypt contents to secure data check box, click OK, and then click OK again.
