You let the freon out. Hundreds of dollars to fix. And, no. Half the machine won't work because you let ALL of the freon out.

SOURCE: I HAVE A HOLE IN THE REFRIG.LINE OF A HAIER MO.HC125FVS

Hi, unfortunate, sorry to hear that, but it could be repaired, you should immediately dried up water/ice around punctured area, prevent water/ moisture entering punctured area (evaporator. lines), it's one of the worst thing, that could happened to any refrigeration system, it will be costly to repaired, if water get into your evaporator lines, compressor oil have to be replaced, evaporator will need to be flush out, repair puncture, change filter drier, it's better to replace compressor, vacuum system for about 2hrs. then recharge. it's better to use welding/ soldering, to repair punctured line, epoxy repair kit can be used to repair punctured (evaporator) lines . you will have to call a mechanic, if very little water entered punctured( evaporator) lines, then flushing of evaporator, (internal cleaning of lines (tube) changing of filter drier, with overnight vacuuming will do the job. take note, job like this, cannot be guaranteed. check cost for repairs, sometimes it's better to purchase a new one, and save yourself some headaches.next time never use sharp instruments in your freezer, it happened to me sometimes, it's what you get your hands on, what's available at the moment, good luck.

SOURCE: sometimes the refidgerator freezes and then leaks

Hello, this sounds like you have a blockage in the drain tube, remove panel back/bottom of freezer..you may see ice build up...melt ice with hair dryer/heat gun...you will see a pan below evaporator...melt ice in pan...dry water up in pan with paper towel...now you should see a hole in pan that leads to drain tube...pour some hot water in pan..wait a couple minutes..mop up water and repeat this step 2-3 times....once you have done this find some flexible curtain wire or electrical wire..poke down the hole until you see the water drain..now it is clear..put back panel back and you are good to go. The reason you see water in the fridge is because the water has been leaking into the freezer and down the vent into the fridge instead of running into the drain hole...Please feel free to comment again if you have any other question. Mike

Hi,

As the weather is getting warmer for many people their freezer and/or refrigerator do not work right because of a dirty condenser coil...there are also many other things that can go wrong. If you are hearing a clicking or buzzing then check out the last two tips.

My danby bar fridge doesnt shut off gets too cold

Check to see if you accidentally reset the cold setting when jamming stuff in the freezer. Check to see if the seal around your refrigerator is pliable and sealing correctly. Vacuum and dust the condenser coil to clean the coils periodically since that is a VERY common problem. A brush works good for that and you usually find the condenser coil under or near the back of the refrigerator. Check to see if any ice is on any outside lines which would indicate a freon leak. Suspect the circulating fan if the first don't work. A thermostat can also go bad.

Red light on my full size Danby freezer is flashing what does that mean

I am a representative of Danby and would be happy to answer your question.
Not knowing the model number of your freezer, I can tell you that in general the little red light outside the freezer is an indicator light showing that there is electric power coming into the unit. It has nothing to do with the sealed system and the unit will continue to operate normally.
This indicator light is as strong as a Christmas light and there is no need to be fixed or replaced.
If you have any further questions please contact our consumer service department at 1-800-263-2629 and one of our representatives will be happy to assist you.

NOTE: This
is a multi-solution answer since I don't have all the tech from your question to pinpoint your problem
But the solution is in here generically, if you read and study the solutions very, very carefully.
First I would check cold control. Thats where you turn it off, if your temp is not warm. it can
be defective and not shutting off. If your temp is warm proceed with the following.
I would check the fan in the freezer. Listen to see if it is running
It moves air to the ref from the freezer
Then check to see if FREEZER CONTROL is turned WARMER WHICH MAKES THE REF COLDER AND VICE-VERSA. SEE?
The ref. temp should be about 33-35
The Freezer temp should be 0 to 10 Any thing below these temps is overkill and a waste of elect
The higher the number you turn it up to is the coldest
But is probably a common defrost problem The ice build up
is not being melted by the defrost system. The fan can't blow through the coils into the fridge.
Take out back panel of freezer to check for ice buildup. The coils should be clean.
There are three components to a defrost system- a heater, heater thermostat, and a timer unless you have a defrost electronic card.
Its best handled by a Technician but you could possibly do it by taking your model number to the nearest appliance parts store and asking for the parts. They are mostly located in freezer ,behind back panel on freezer coils.except the card which is usually located in ref The parts store will have info
Also check fan undernearh Ref in the rear
Clean condenser coils underneath
Make sure back cover is on the fridge. Some take them off and throw them away.
make one out of cardboard if its gone, using the holes of the old one.

THE FILL TUBE IN BACK OF REFRIGERATOR CAN SLIP

OR BECOME CLOGGED WITH ICE.
REMOVE THE ICEMAKER AND INSPECT THE FILL TUBE.
RUN WATER IN TUBE TO ELININATE BLOCKAGE AND CHECK
TEMP IN FREEZER. IF TEMP IS BELOW 0 DEGREES, THATS
OVERKILL AND USUALLY A WASTE OF ELECTRICITY TO KEEP IT THAT COLD, NOT TO MENTION THE FILL TUBE FREEZING UP
