A CD got stuck in my Cambridge Soundworks 765i. How do I get it out?

There should be a small hole in the front of your CD player. Straighten out a paper clip, and poke it in that hole. That should eject the CD drawer.

Philips CDR570

My goodness, the spelling of some people is the pits. Hope I can do better! My problem is I have been recommended the above product as being the ideal machine to copy old cassette tapes directly on to a CD. Hence I can then save all the lovely music and recordings we have accumulated over the years and have them all preserved on Archival CDs. Now I cannot get one of these machines and need to know if there are any other equivalent machines. In the meantime I need the Philips CDR570 as my friend has one and have seen it work. Beautiful. PLAY/PAUSE Button issue Hi, got a problem with an CDJ 1000 MKI when i put a cd on it , and starts playing i try to press the play/pause button it will freeze and will have to reset the machine, have...

Yes, this can be caused by a faulty button or buttons, where they are stuck in the on position. The control line gets blocked by the stuck button, and won't even eject in some cases. Take it to a service centre and they should be able to resolve it while you wait, and drink their tea :)

The disktray automaticly opens and closed several times. When I put a cd in de tray the tray closed and opend without playing

Hi, when a disk tray automatically opens and closed several time, might be from the disk tray itself is jambed that's why it opening and closes by itself. You can open up the player and check if any thing in hooking it.

Also it might need to be replaced, the wheels inside the DVD player might be too weak to move in and out without moving automatically.

The way i see it, you might end up replacing the disk tray with a new one..

Have a nice day.

My dvd wont read discs

When you get the no Disk Read Error, it normally occurs for one of two reasons. Either dust has built up on the lens of the laser mechanism, or the operating voltage of the laser has drifted off slightly due to heat and age. Of course, occasionally there are actual failures of components, which cause this, but these are the main two reasons.

Tools required by this guide are (not all are required for all parts however):

1) A normal sizes star (Phillips) screwdriver.
2) A very small Phillips screwdriver.
3) A small, flat screwdriver.
4) Some isopropanol alcohol (IPA)
5) A few cotton buds
6) A little mechanical grease. (I’ve used Vaseline before)
7) A can of compressed air.
8) An oscilloscope.
Cleaning the laser lens
1) Remove any CDs from the unit and unplug all leads and memory cards. Turn the unit upside down and use the small, flat screwdriver to pop out all the little plastic and rubber screw covers.
Take your normal sized Phillips screwdriver and unscrew all the screws.
Try to write down where each part comes from (including the screws as they have to be returned to the same location at the end. Stick them in a tub to keep them safe.

Turn the unit back up the right way, holding it all together. Place on the work surface and gently ease the case open. You may have to tilt the lid slightly towards the front, and slide out to avoid the cd tray.

BE CAREFUL not to damage the eject/power button ribbon cable, as these are very fragile..
Take a cotton bud and careful place some of the alcohol on it (but not so much that it is dripping everywhere). This alcohol is the same (or similar) to the small bottle of alcohol which is in audio and video cassette cleaning kits. This is probably the best way to locate a source. Locate the lens (the circular glass part) and very gently rub the cotton bud around the lens in circular motions for about 30 seconds, being very gentle. Once done, flip the cotton bud over and dry the lens with the other end for about 10 seconds.
The laser part slides on rods to reach different rings of the cd. These can become clogged up with dirt and dust, making movement difficult. So, take a clean cotton bud and clean the slide rods thoroughly, making sure you get to all parts and give a good clean. You have now completed the cleaning process. This often cures read errors and should always be attempted first. Reverse the dismantling process and put the machine back together, making sure you DON’T TRAP the eject / power button ribbon cable, as this can cause serious problems for you if it happens.
Power on the unit and try to load both a CD and a DVD game. If all works fine then CONGRATULATION on completing the guide. but if otherwise you have to change the You have now completed the cleaning process. Power on the unit and try to load both a CD and a DVD game. If all works fine then CONGRATULATIONS on completing the guide. if this dont wonk you have to change the DVD drive of the DVD player , in which this comes with a complete laser and mechanism...
Hope this help...

Disc(s) jammed in sony 5-disc player--eject won't work

There are 6 or 7 phillips head screws that keep the top on; remove them and pop the top. This will give you access to all CD's. Remove them all, then plug the unit back in and press the open close button and check for normal operation. If it still wont open, it's broken a gear and needs to be serviced. You may consider replacement of the unit if inoperative, the replacement model is priced at $129.00 and a repair would probably cost the same if not more. If you need further help, post a comment and I can help you further.

DN- S3500 Cd won't eject.

There might be a round access hole on the bottom of the case with a symbol near it.If it does , turn the screw down inside. Many CD players have a Panic hole like that.
