Blue Screen of death with Re-writable CD`s and DVD`s.

Every time I insert a CD-RW or a DVD + -RW in my drive I get the blue screen of death. I can read and write to CD-R and DVD +- R with no problem.I am using XP2 and Nero 7 with INCD.

Hi Joe,Thanks for the info but I`m afraid I have tried what you suggested and I still have the same problem.I have tried three different drives and I get the same thing with each drive. They all read and write CD-R and DVD +-R but not RW`s.

First I would go to the Control Panel > System > Hardware > device manager. There go to cd-dvd drives and right click on the cd drive and then click un-install. Restart your unit then test it,

If that does not work, I would un-install InCD, then re-install it. On Nero's website there a un-installers for Nero and InCD.

If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it.
Thanks, Joe
