Question about Nikon D100 Digital Camera
Our D100 shows a small spot on pictures, all in the same place. We have
tried several different lens, and have the same problem, so we think it's in
the camera. Any suggestions?
Sounds like a spec of dust on your low-pass filter in front of the CCD in the camera. You could bring it to a shop for cleaning (probably about $30) or buy Nikon's EH-5 AC adapter that will allow you to lock up the mirror and expose the filter behind it and blow it off with some canned air. Should be regular maintenance if you use the camera regularly. Good reason to limit the amount of time the lens is off the camera body.
