Windows was unable to complete the format is the message when it fails to format the sdhc 4gb sandisk
Click start control panel administration tools computer management disk management right click on your 4gb memory card select properties click tools you should see click check now click start two boxes
automatically fix files and scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors place then a tick in one box then select check now start or you might tick one box then return after its finished the first
then return and tick the second box
you should not do anything while the chkdsk utility is in progress any input may damage this drive
click start click on computer then right click on your 4gb memory card select format

Yeah heard about it before with wrong formats like FAT-FAT32!?
I usually just use the format feature on my kamera, try that;)

try to download HpFlash. and format your drive using that software. Your problem will be solved

It needed antivirus in ur pc or mobile so u can check there is any virus in ur memory card
Just like formating when u attach it to pc right click mouse button, it shows scan with ....... ur antivirus's name , click on it which starts scanning for virus or if u have any antivrus in mobiles just select that icon & start scaaning for virus
There are some of antivirus product available on net u can serach & download it free

Hi Tony,
Have your My Computer window open and re-insert the card into the reader. If it doesn't show immediately, then right click and choose refresh. It should show up then.
