On the DVD player most of the time you have two outputs. One in cinch and one in scart output. If one doesnot work try the other output to be able to reset what you have done. Or try to disconnect from the power for a few minutes it might work as well.
Hi You only have one digital tuner so will have to watch analogue whilst recording or view through the TV tuner if you can. My mother has just bought a sh893m and I can guess what word the sh is the beginning of it has 4 letters and smells! Unfortunately she has kept it too long to return, waiting for us to visit and try and make it work properly, read the reviews on line you will see what I mean! Long live Sony our RDR HXD870 is superb
Ok, first thing first if you have a cable box and a dvd player both been connected with HDMI cables direclly to the TV you just need to run a cable from the TV were it says audio out into your receiver.
This way everytime you change from Cable box and DVD the audio automaticly will change as well.
I have a DVD player, a VCR player, a TV set all hook into an RCA RT2250 Audio/Video receiver. Everything was working fine until 2 days ago. Now the DVD player gives me a great pix but no sound. The VCR,and TV are just fine and I have checked everything out, speaker connections, mute buttons, etc. and nothing seems to be wrong. I am thinking that some thing in the receiver got fried. Is it repairable?
I ran into the same problem, Radio Shack has a device called a RF Modulator. The model # is Model: 15-2526 | Catalog #: 15-2526, the price is $27.49. On the back there is a place for cable in and cable out to tv. There are the 3 rca jacks on the back also, 1 video (yellow) and 2 audio (red/white) That simple. Set the tv to channel 3, turn on the dvd player and it automaticlly puts the dvd on the screen. Turn it off and back to normal cable. Works great, I use one myself. hope this helps. Steve
Check that the TV is tuned on the DVD channel, on some set is channel 0, or av , or ext etc. If tv is tuned on the right cannnel, check that cables are fine, and check that you have connected the cable in the right way.
