Hi i have a Honda Accord 2006 SE. It has a 6 disc CD changer and it had been working fine. Suddenly now i am seeing CR ERR message and CDs dont play anymore. Whenever i turn on the CD player it says CD...

Personally I would just replace the radio. In dash changers go bad easily and are basically just a problem waiting to happen. The average life span of an in dash changer is about two years.

MCD36 6 disc changer won't eject or play CDs. Erro messages are Surface or CD loading!

Please remove the top cover and manually rotate the motor to release the loading. It can be due to a warped cd or a motor pulley which had slipped.
Also check if the linking cord to the loading motor is having a continuity.
If not there is fault in the processor controller or the loading IC.

1998 vw cd changer reads "chk magazine" or"cd err" help!

Unplug it for about 5 minutes and plug it back in and pray to the vw cd changer Gods to allow it to play again.. By unplugging the unit AT THE UNIT will result in a hard Boot. Now if it is still not happening than it's time to call the repair man, also be sure the magazine is inserted correctly. I couldn't tell you how many customers came in with the magazine upside down, *** backwards, cds loaded upside down, etc but try unplugging it 1st. good luck. but let me ask you why you messing with a changer when you probably don't own but 4 cd's and all your music is on your iPod?? I have a pioneer 6 disc in dash changer in my car (model 1805), and when I try to switch between cd's it usually stops playing and flashes error 4. the only way I can get it to play again is to turn my car...

These changers have a problem with some switches that are on top of the cd mech. They must be cleaned with the proper chemical and not too much being used. You can easily spill it into the cd mech where the laser is at and cause a lot of damage to the laser.
There are micro switches that detect the position of the disc tray going into and out of the magazine and when the cd mech actually loads the cd into position to play it.

When you turn your car off and back on again, it reset the micro enough to where it can start over again.

This is not a job for anybody who is not experienced with this type of work, you could try, but then it is very likely you could cause more damage to the changer than when you started.

I can offer you more help if you like, let me know.

If you found this information helpful a rating of "FixYa" would really be appreciated.

Thnaks,

Dave
