Question about Nokia 6010
Could I have done anything with the settings on my 6010 to prevent the #1 button from operating as it no longer works? I cannot try returning to "Factory Default" as it was never changed from the factory set "12345." Hope you can help.
Altho there was no visual evidence to the effect that dirt or liquid was present (or ever present) the problem nonetheless was solved by removing the keypad & blowing compressed air ( available from Radio Shack) in, under and around the buttons on the pad & similarly, the circuit board area that the pad sits on. There are a few access holes that allow you to blow air between the plastic cover plate situated over the circuit board. There are two screws holding that plate in place which I would have preferred to remove but the screws are very tiny & also have unique heads requiring a special tool which of course I didn't have. All the same, the pad worked fine on assembly even though I really have no idea of the real root cause of the problem. It worked for me, regards TREVWEN.
