Help! Sony KE-37XS910 Plasma has a green and sometimes red vertical line!
I have had this tv for about two years and it has been working great. However, recently, I noticed an annoying problem. When the TV is on, there is a green vertical line (not solid but rather like dashed) appear on the right edge of the screen. Sometimes, it disappears on its own but most of the time it stays. What's the problem? How do I reset the tv back to original manufacture setting. I appreciate your response.

hi all .ive had the same problem,a thick black line down
screen.sometimes it flickers from top to bottom and other permantly in
view.but i have solved it.forget your ic boards and taking apart tv.have
you got either a ps3 or wii connected to tv.if so unplug power lead
from socket and relocate in seperate socket.make sure the lead is
completely free of any other leads and you might just find this works.i
think the power lead creates some sort of frequency that the tv picks up
.good luck hope it works
IT GAVE OUT A LOUD BANG AND NOW I HAVE NO PICTURE OR... Mosfet Transistor blow out. Transistor K3316 or replace the Power unit supply. This problem was caused by a low power voltage.SONY SONY KE-42TS2U
This TV has a very expensive panel... we are talking $3000 core charge alone! It comes complete with all the lower buffer boards (which from the sound of it, you are having a problem with). Individual boards for this defect are not available on repair parts list I know of. A panel is what you need, PN: 9-885-063-33
The problem is one of the flat cable connections at the bottom of the panel. Turn set on then heat each connector for about a minute with a hair dryer while watching the display in a mirror. The line will dissappear. This is the faulty connector. Take it out clean with contact spray cleaner put it back very very gently. This will solve the problem. All this is done entirely at your own risk. If you are not sure take it to a shop...Peter firstname.lastname@example.org
If you still have your receipt for repair...take it back for repair again. This time, you should have some kind of warranty on the last repair, so you should have to pay minimal (if anything) to get it fixed again.
If it is the logic board, insist that you are given the faulty one....that way you can see that it has been done and you can then dispose of it at your leisure, "knowing" you have not beem conned into paying for services not given.
