Question about HP OfficeJet 6110 All-In-One InkJet Printer
I have trouble faxing over my digital phone line, I have CallVantage with AT&T. Seems the machine feeds all papers, but only "sends" the 1st sheet...ends up with an error report. Any advice?
Thank you. Elisia
You can't a fax machine on a digtal line unless it is a model specified for it.

I looked up fax problems at HP.com and my guess, based on what I read, is that the 6110 is able to detect the broadband data connection at the higher line frequencies, even though all you hear on the line is a normal dial tone. If you haven't done so already, you'll need to install a line filter on one of your phone jacks (this should have come in the kit with the rest of the hardware you were sent to set up the DSL line). This isn't an issue with the 6110, but a natural "consequence" of using DSL.
Here's the web page I used as the basic for this opinion:
Phone "Off the Hook" Status
On that page scroll down to the "Checking the phone line" section and read the material there. See if that info helps. Good luck.
