Question about Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition

ASROCK motherboard slow

I recently shifted the components(ram,hdd,processor(P1.7) ) from my intel D845 GLAD motherboard to ASROCK P414 GV motherboard. Now videos are getting stuck, winamp plays with hiccups when i open any other application. Is this having anything to with the processor?? Both motherboards supports 478 pin package. Also i recently changed my heat sink. overall performance is slow.

The processor will generally either work or not.

You need to load the correct video drivers for the video card embedded on the motherboard.  You need to make sure the correct drivers for anything on the mainboard are installed.  After this, figure out if it is slower than before.

Out of curiousity, when did you change motherboards?

The onboard video chip is very weak and it can't handle the amount of data required by a game. There's only thing you can do - install a decent video card.

Changing motherboard

Since both boards use the same chipset (Intel 845), you shouldn't have any problem with components. (The one possible glitch will be the memory - some motherboards are a little picky.)
Keep in mind that you will likely have to reformat the hard drive and reinstall your operating system and programs, but sometimes you get lucky. (Even then, if you're running Windows XP, Microsoft is likely to ask you to reactivate.)
More info and drivers are available for download here:

Good luck.
