please purchase the processor that is compatible to your motherboard. if the motherboard can be upgrade to a higher speed of processor then purchase it. if not, stick to the required specs. if you still want to upgrade, replace the motherboard, processor and the memory.

It doesn't work

Hello,
Try chaning the bios battery to a new one. Then leave it plugged in for a little while and try starting it up. If it still doesn't come on, then it's down to either the motherboard or the processor. If the processor is bad, the motherboard will not power up. Also, check the motherboard to see if there are any signs of swollen capacitors or burnt items on it.

Thanks,
Lolita

My computer shuts down after 3 secs

Try to separate the power cord of your monitor from your system or maybe if your using UPS(uninterrupted power supply) directly plug the UPS to the wall outlet. either you can use pretty voltage regulator to the regulate the AC power.
if not solve the problem try to examine the your system power supply.

Motherboard

Are you trying to install the Dell Media Card Reader? If so then the other end of the ?FlexBay USB cable that plugs into the card reader goes into a small rectangular connector towards the back of the motherboard. Specifically orient as follows; place the computer on its side, the power supply to your left and the front of the computer facing towards you. Starting at the back of the motherboard next to the power supply follow the back edge of the motherboard till you come to the approximate center of the board. About an inch towards you there will be a rectangular connector the FlexBay USB cable end should fit into. If this isn?t the cable from the Dell Media Card Reader let us know and we?ll try to help, otherwise please don?t forget to rate this posting.
