Question about Uniden Cordless Phone
Have a ex14246c cordless phone. The red light on base keeps blinking. wrote in once before and was told to hold down page button for 5 secs. That worked. Now its doing it again and I do same procedure, but it only works without blinking for several hrs. and then goes back to blinking again. Whats my next step to solve this problem?
a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US.
click here to Talk to a Technician (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

I always tell people NOT to buy new batteries to try and fix their cordless phone. It seems to rarely solve the problem and you are usually better off just spending the money on a new phone. Unfortunately 5 years is a long time for cordless phones these days. There are so many brands, and so many thousands of models, it's impossible to keep track of them all.

Press and hold "end" and "#" for more than 5 seconds this will de-register your handset without the base unit.

I found that if I hold the "find hs" button on the BASE unit (right above the red charging light) for a few seconds, it works!! Thank goodness there is a solution! Thanks for the help.

try connecting both phones via the base that is working and see if they recognize each other. Let me know if that works.

Here's a manual for that system: http://www.uniden.com/pdf/DECT1580om.pdf
Uniden doesn't call it the "detailed" owners manual, but it is bigger than the one in the box. Speaking of snafu's, there is no mention of how to deal with the VM icon. I found some info on resetting the VM indicator in a different Uniden manual. The instructions on page 42 may be of some help: http://www.uniden.com/pdf/DECT1588om.pdf
