I can't turn off the caps lock key on my key key

Is this an Apple Keyboard? It is a USB wired or wireless bluetooth keyboard? Is the "caps lock key" the only affected key? Are there other keys being affected? I suspect a hardware issue. If you have a can of compressed air with that small tube on the end, blow some compressed air in and around that particular key to see if any material might be dislodged. If after blowing air around the "caps lock key" still shows the key to be stuck, then move the keyboard to another mac system to see if the problem persists. If the problem persists, then its either a trip to an apple authorized repair shop for the keyboard, or purchase another one. Hope that helps.

The keyboard light might be damaged. If your CAPS LOCK key is working and light is off, then the problem is as mentioned above .

How to know whether capslock button is in On or in Off?

>Check your keyboard lights on the top right corner. If the caps lock is On, a green light is lit up. If you toggle the caps key On or Off you will see the difference.

>Check whether your keyboard keys are working, a damaged caps key stroke won't have any effect. So be sure that you have a perfectly working keyboard.

Hope this solves your query.

My caps wont turn off

Try this. Press: Start>Accessories>Accessibility>On Screen keyboard. Try turning it off from there. If that doesn't work:
1. Choose Start'Settings'Control Panel and double-click Regional and Language Options.
2. In the Languages tab, click the Details button.
3. In the Settings tab, you should see a button called Key Settings. It may be grayed out. If it is, click the Add button and add another keyboard layout (it doesn't matter which one). Press OK.
4. Back in the Settings tab, click to make sure your original keyboard is highlighted and press the Key Settings button.
5. Now under To turn off Caps Lock, click the radio button next to Press the Shift key. Click OK.
6. Click OK twice more to exit the other two dialog boxes.

Unable to locate indication of caps lock on or off

On the keyboard, there should be an area to the right top that will light up when you click the caps lock button. Typically this key is found above the shift key on the left hand side of the keyboard.

Keyboard and caps lock

Due to the fact that the two keys are both together, i,d say that theres some muck under the keypad, thats sticking the 2 keys together. Try blowing air into the keyboard. Or put a vacuum cleaner on the keypad.
Don,t hold me responsible if the Vac, sucks the keys or Keyboard Up :)
