When i go to the disk channel and put a disk in the wii, it takes forever to load, and then after i hit start a few seconds later it says that there is a disk error. I know its not the game because i tried every single game i have and it had the same problem everytime.
If Wii gives Disc Read Error, first step you need to check is to try
another disc or clean the exisitng disc. This will confirm that problem
is with either Wii or Disc. If the console itself is giving disc read
error then it needs to be repaired. You may check out DIY Wii Fix Guide,

I've been suggesting this a lot today, but it works for me 9 out of 10 times. Hold the power button on the front of the console for at least ten seconds. The light should turn red. Give it a second, then hit it again and it will reboot. See if this makes a difference.

The drive sensor or the motor for pulling in the disk isn't working. Also, make sure there isn't a disk already in the wii by hitting the eject button. You'll need to send it in for repair if there is no game in it.
after it says that take the disk out turn the power off then wait about 30 seconds turn it back on put the disk in the other way this may take a few times to work it happened to mine also if the doesn't solve the problem it may be something is wrong with the wii Hope this works
just disable the internet connection on the wii by reset the settings. and again wii sports will work! don't ask what happen but for sure there is not the reading drive .. i try some cd's and work's great . the wii sports only have the issue in some cases indipence from the update of the console . that is my opinion.
