SOURCE: Z4Mplus doesn't save configuration

I had the same issue.

I'm using the seagull scientific drivers.
It turns out that the printer did not react well to changes made to it through the software.

I deleted the printer and added it again.
I made all my changes immediately through the software (creating a custom label size of 4in x 1in and portrait 180)

My print width setting on the printer is still 099 6/8 but everything prints fine.

SOURCE: Zebra 105SL print only half of label

This can happen if your page size in your driver is not set to the actual label size. It can happen if you have old .dll driver files mixed with your mew driver installation.

This is what I would do:
Uninstall the driver completely - delete the icon in Printers and Faxes. Drop down the file menu there and choose server properties and remove the driver for all Zebra printers from the Drivers tab. Go into the LCD menu of the printer and load defaults. Go back into the LCD meny and look at the page width setting. Your printer has 300 dots per inch, so a 4 inch label would be 1200 dots wide.

Another thing to consider is that you may be trying to printer to a 300 dpi printer from a 203 dpi driver. Make sure that you choose 300dpi when you reinstall. This should work.... If not, repost with more details about your application and driver. I can assure you that this is not a printer problem unless half of your printhead has failed.... unlikely, but possible....

SOURCE: Using MS Access, I am

First check printer. Change setting "Print Width" to maximum width, save. Switch off. Hold down pause key while switching on (untill all but power light turns off). the subsequent prints should print across the full width. If this is OK fault is with label format.

If you are using windows printer driver check settings there this can over ride printer settings. If using ZPL the problem is most likely in the label format.

Dear Sir, Madam, We recently installed our Zebra S600 labelprinter together with the Zebra Designer software. But the labelprinter doesn't print out our labels. We've searched the internet and...

It sounds as though it is printing test labels. Switch of and on again to reset.

If no change then try factory reset.

If it is ever necessary to return the printer configuration to factory default values, press the FEED

key and PAUSE Key at the same time while turning the power on. The default values will remain

active until the printer power is turned off. To save the default values in memory, press the MODE

key four times. The Darken, Position, and Calibrate LEDs will cycle on and then off indicating the
values have been saved.

If this does not work then you have a fualty logic board which write off the printer

If I scan a photo using my HP C5180 All-In-One printer, can I go back later and enlarge that scanned photo? I haven't monkeyed around with it too much, and I thought I would aske first.

Hello - Yes you can. You would just need some photo editing software (some probably came with the printer.) If not I recommend you download a copy of Photoscape here. It's freeware and does a beautiful job.
One thing to be aware of is that as you enlarge a digital image it will loose image quality, the larger it gets the worse the quality. For bumping it up a bit it will look fine.

Horizontal alignment ok, but right half not printing.

One of two situations exists:
1. If the printing stops with clear stopping edge, then the PRINT WIDTH setting has been changed from the default full width setting of 104mm.
Check this by pressing MENU and then the NEXT button until you see a setting for MAX WIDTH. It should be set to full width of 104mm. Anything less will stop printing beyond whatever the setting is. Change it back to the full width setting.

2. If the printing stops by fading away to the right side, then that is caused by a pressure imbalance across the printhead. There is more pressure on the left side than the right side. There are two toggles that press down on the printhead and the pressure can be adjusted by moving the right toggle to the right so that more pressure falls on that side of the printhead.

Hope that helps !

Hello, I have an invitation that is 4in wide x 9 inches in height. I want to print something on it, but not sure how to get my printer to recognize that I am using custom size paper. It keeps printing on...

In addition to the wide variety of standard paper sizes available for this printer, you can use custom size paper in the Tray 1 (MPT).
The size range for custom size media is as follows:
    Minimum allowable page size:
    89 x 140 mm (3.5 x 5.5 in.)
    Maximum allowable page size:
    216 x 356 mm (8.5 x 14 in.)
  1. Open Tray 1 (MPT).
  2. Insert the custom size paper and adjust the guides to match the size of the paper. Place the side to be printed facedown with the top of the page entering the printer first.
  3. When the front panel prompts you to confirm the type and size of paper:
    1. Scroll to Change by pressing the Down Arrow key and press the OK key.
    2. Scroll to the correct paper type and press the OK key to save your selection.
    3. For the paper size, scroll to Custom and press the OK key.
    4. Select Set Custom Width (W) by pressing the OK key.
    5. Press the Down Arrow or Up Arrow key to scroll to the desired value for X and then press the OK key.
    6. Scroll to Set Custom Height (H) and press the OK key.
    7. Press the Down Arrow or Up Arrow key to scroll to the desired value for Y and then press the OK key.
  4. Select the custom size in the printer driver.
  5. Windows 95 / Windows 98 / Windows Me PostScript driver: On the Setup tab:
    • After you select the Multi-Purpose Tray and the tray displays Custom to indicate that it has custom size paper, enter the dimensions of the custom size paper in the Width and Height boxes.
    • If you select Automatic for the paper source and select Custom Size for the paper size, enter the width and height values of the desired custom size paper in the Width and Height boxes. The values for width and height are initially 0. If you previously entered information in the boxes, the values are automatically entered.
Windows NT / Windows 2000 / Windows XP PostScript driver: On the Paper/Quality tab:
    • If you select Choose Specific Tray, select the Multi-Purpose Tray.
    • If you select Automatic, you can select your custom size from the Paper Size drop-down list.
    • Click My Custom Sizes and highlight the custom size in the Current Selection list. The Name, Width, and Height boxes display the details about the highlighted custom size and the sample image changes to represent a scaled version of the custom size.
    • To create a new custom size:
      1. Click New.
      2. Enter the new name in the Name box.
      3. Enter the dimensions in the Width and Height boxes. The sample image changes to represent a scaled version of the new custom size.
      4. Click Save to add the new size to the list. Click Cancel to exit without saving the new custom size.
      5. To exit, click Close.
    • The My Custom Sizes box lists existing custom sizes that are supported by the current printer. Since these custom sizes are saved in your computer's operating system, they are available for you to select in your applications.
    • If you create a custom size in certain applications, the driver lists the custom size automatically.
    MacOS 8 / MacOS 9 driver:
    • In the Page Setup dialog box, click on Page Attributes, and select Custom Page Sizes. Then press New to enter a new custom page size. A dialog box appears where you can enter the width and height, margins, and name of the custom page size.
