I reset my sylvania three times now. Everytime I start it up it runs fine for about45 seconds and then freezes again. What do I do?
It seems alot of people have had similar issues with these PC's.
Sounds like it could be a virus or registry error. But could also be a hardware error. Does the machine run hot? If so, try cleaning the vents and running it on a hard, flat surface. If that doesn't work I would try running an anti virus and/or anti malware program (in safe mode if that's on option) If that doesn't find anything, then you could try reinstalling the O/S.
Is there a recovery partition on the hard drive?
If none of the above works, then it is probably a hardware issue, hard drive or RAM error, something like that.

Hey,
if you never get to the windows screen, then the computer is unable to start up and automatically restarts.
to fix this issue you need a windows installation cd or a the recovery media that came with the computer when purchased.
if you don't have either I suggest you take the computer to a professional who owns the cds and he or she can fix it for you.
Let me know if you need anything else.
Thanks,
Ekse

Try booting into "safe mode". by taping the f8 key while it is booting. If it runs ok there it may just be a video driver, as this is what it sounds like. If you have the same problem in safe mode, you have either a virus or spyware program that's in one or more files. If that's the case go back to sae mose, and run a good virus cleaner and spyware sweeper, Avg makes a free version, and Spyware search and destroy , and run that also. Try the video driver first, it may be a combination of both, that's one of the problems of doing a blind repair like this, we sometimes have to try a few things before nailing the correct problem. But it is more than likelly one of those two, good luck
