Question about HP PSC 2355 All-In-One InkJet Printer
My 2110 all in one will not recognize the new ink cartridge i installed. I get an incorrect ink cartridge message. It also makes a strange grinding noise after i turn it on following the self test. How do I fix this? New correct cartridge causes a message : tri-color print cartridge inserted is not intended for use in this printer.
I hopped out to HP's support site for stats on your cartridge and found some info at this link:
are you using an HP 57 Tri-color cartridge? HP printers work best with HP cartridges and often have problems with refilled cartridges. the grinding noise you're hearing makes me wonder if the cartridge isn't seated all the way in its little carridge (the plastic part that holds the cartridge). have you had a chance to slip teh cartridge back out and try gently slipping it back in again?
here's another link to try for info for this model of printer (HP's support site), with specifics about your error message about half way down the page:
hope this helps!
