More than likely, your LG dryer is experiencing a lack of proper airflow. If the venting isn't clean & clear the dryer cannot circulate air in & out of the dryer. This leads to long drying times and premature ending of the cycle. I specialize in dryer vent cleaning and have seen many LG dryers with the sdame issue. A customer called the other day with a similar problem and the airflowreading using a vane anemometer was 366 feet per minute before we cleaned their 14 foot vent pipe. The airflow after the cleaning was 1095 feet per minute! Now their new LG will function as ai should. If necessary call a professional to handle the vent cleaning.

Resettable stat could be operating at wrong temp but would still look for a blockage in the air flow. also check that fan is in fact working. if this is a condensor dryer, check the condensor is not blocked with lint

White knight 427 not heating

Heating element is probably burned out. Or the thermal fuse / cutoff. I would check the fuse first as the heating element has 2 independent heating coils and usually both won't burn out at the same time. It would be best to have a meter tester. I am in Lake Worth, Fla. Tumble dryer wont dry clothes reset button doesnt work

Check the Circuit Breaker. It is a double Breaker Switch. one side is for the heat one for the motor. If that is good then it's possibly the Heating Element or one of the two heat sensors.

Dryer turns on but won't heat up or tumble

Common faults -
1 The heating elements can fail (meaning open circuit)
2 There are cut-outs (T.O.C's) that might need resetting
3 The thermostats (stats) can trip out or burn out (meaning opencircuit)
4 Moderntumble dryers also have sensors and pcb's (Printed circuitboards) thesehave programs that can fail and circuitry although most should produce an errorcode showing you were the fault is.
5 Faultyconnections and burned wires may also be the fault.

Dryer tumbles, no heat

Fist thing to check is if the manual reset on the heater box has tripped. That dryer can be serviced from the front. Also, there is a heater upgrade kit that can be purchased from Fisher Paykel Parts that has several updated parts in it for the top load electric dryers.

There are several things that can cause the reset to pop out. You may have a lint build up behind the shroud where the lint bucket fits.

This is a complicated appliance. You may wish to obtain a service manual for it.
