when you say you've tried everything ;)

    Have you tried:

-a new lead from the back of the xbox to the tv?
-the same xbox on a different TV?
-Making sure that if you're using AV or SCART that you're looking at the right channel on the TV?

    Also:
Is this an xbox or an xbox360?

If using a 360 make sure if you have hdtv or a non hdtv that you check the switch on the av cord and leave accordingly to your tv type also make sure you have your tv on the correct input if using 360 or original xbox

How should I connect a Sony Wega KF-50WE620 to an XBox360 ?

Since the TV accepts HD signals only via DVI and component inputs, the only logical way is to use the "Xbox 360 Component HD AV Cable" as show in the link below:

How to hook up your Xbox 360 or Xbox 360 to TV

The TV will not accept a VGA input. A cable converting HDMI to DVI would also require that you break out the L + R audio channels, too. The one I mentioned above does this all for you with no degradation in video signals.

Proscan tv

Check that you're on the correct input and the Xbox 360 is sending the correct signal (be it 720 or 1080).

How to set display to 1080p on Hisense F42K20E?

You don't. The TV has a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels; so it's already 1080p. The number of pixels can't be changed.

What you're probably getting mixed up with is the TV showing the resolution of the incoming signal when you change channels or go to a different source. Standard definition from cable might be flagged as 480i. DVD might show either as 480i, or 480p, or maybe 720p or 1080i or 1080p if you have a scaling DVD player and set it appropriately. HDTV on cable or satellite will show as 1080i or possibly 720p. Blu-rays and PS3/XBox 360 or PS4/Xbox One should show as 1080p when your TV is connected.

Whatever the source signal resolution, the TV will scale it up to fill the panel area of 1920x1080 pixels. So the TV is always using all the pixels, regardless of the resolution of the source signal.

I recently bought an Xbox 360 and plugged it into the back of my TV. However, the TV refuses to show anything from the Xbox 360. I tried Autoprogramming it, and it erased all of my channels except for 1,...

MOST of their older sets are set up where the AV inputs are channels 90-93 ; if you had no signal other than the game the set will skip all those channels out.

If you have a working remote for it direct enter 90-93 one at a time .

Nothing hooked to cable fitting means set will see no signal and skip them out when auto program is engaged.

Follow the steps below, Hope this helps

1. Try another Av cable ( Audio video Cable )

2. Try another television

3. If the steps dont work, call xbox customer support to have your xbox serviced. Good Luck! hope your console still has warranty

The main reason why its acting that way its possible that the AV PORT is faulty or its your cables..
